Crystal City is on a four-game streak of home wins, while the Pirates are on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Crystal City Javelinas will take on the Lytle Pirates at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Crystal City didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against the Owls, but they still walked away with a 48-44 victory.
Lyndsie Bosquez was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Breana Hernandez, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Lytle can now show off 15 landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Hondo, posting a 75-38 win at home.
Crystal City is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 17-14 record this season. As for Lytle, their victory bumped their record up to 25-7.
Crystal City was dealt a bruising 62-35 defeat at the hands of the Pirates in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Lytle's Calyssa Sevier, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 steals.
