Lost River is a perfect 10-0 against Riddle since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Raiders will be playing at home against the Irish at 4:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Friday, Lost River didn't have quite enough to beat Glendale and fell 15-14. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meghan Carpenter was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Karla Navarro, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Riddle). Everything went their way against Illinois Valley on Friday as they made off with a 26-12 victory. The result was nothing new for the Irish, who have now won three games by 14 runs or more so far this season.
A. Hildebrand made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and six unearned) runs off 11 hits. Hildebrand was also stellar in the batter's box, going 5-for-6 with three stolen bases, five runs, and two triples. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.1 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Riddle let C. Warner and M. Davison run wild. Warner got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, four RBI, and one stolen base, while Davison went 3-for-6 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Warner also hit a double, marking her first of the season. M. Clark was another key player, getting on base in four of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Riddle always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .630. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Riddle now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Lost River, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Everything went Lost River's way against Riddle when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Lost River made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Raiders repeat their success, or do the Irish have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
