Football Recap: Prairie du Chien Comes Up Short

Prairie du Chien was the 35-7 winner over Darlington when they last played one another back in August of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Blackhawks took a 26-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Redbirds on Friday. While the Blackhawks didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Redbirds 14-7 in the first quarter.

Prairie du Chien's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Darlington, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Prairie du Chien and Darlington will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Blackhawks are set to take on their familiar foe Platteville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Darlington will face off against rival Mineral Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
