Baseball Recap: Mcfarland Has No Trouble Against West

McFarland's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Everything went their way against the West Vikings as they made off with a 12-1 victory. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Cris Soto was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. Those six RBI gave him a new career-high. Josh Gutierrez was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

McFarland now has a winning record of 4-3. As for West, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McFarland will square off against Granite Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for West, they will challenge South at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
