Baseball Recap: Schenck Takes a Loss

After flying high against Greenville on Friday, Schenck came back down to earth. The Wolverines took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lee Academy Pandas on Wednesday. The Wolverines have struggled against the Pandas recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Schenck saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Wyman, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Wyman has become a key player for the Wolverines: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-3 otherwise.

Schenck's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Lee Academy, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Schenck will square off against Stearns at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lee Academy, they will take on Narraguagus at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Pandas surely won't give up without a fight.
