Basketball Recap: Cornerstone Eagles vs. Appalachian Eagles
The Cornerstone Eagles were the 48-30 winner over the Appalachian Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Cornerstone took a 57-43 bruising from the Eagles on Thursday.
Despite the loss, Cornerstone still got an impressive performance from Kemberly Roscoe, who almost dropped a triple-double on ten points, 15 rebounds, and nine blocks. Roscoe hasn't dropped below three blocks for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Kye Fincher, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Cornerstone's loss dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Appalachian, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season.
Cornerstone does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Appalachian also has no future games currently scheduled.
