Basketball Recap: Lutheran's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Lutheran had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 66-54 win over the Capital City Cavaliers on Monday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Cougars' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 417th, while the Cavaliers are ranked 168th).

Lutheran's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-9. As for Capital City, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Lutheran will challenge Alton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Capital City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-50 loss against Hallsville on the 21st.
