Football Game Preview: Hillcrest Rams vs. Woodmont Wildcats + How To Watch

Hillcrest is a perfect 10-0 against Woodmont since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Hillcrest has three straight wins, Woodmont has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Hillcrest was fully in charge, breezing past Greenville 45-14. Considering the Rams have won six contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Jackson Free, who rushed for 12 yards and three scores, and also threw for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Hillcrest also got a significant boost from Nydarrian Allen, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 99 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Hillcrest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 223 rushing yards. They are a perfect 5-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Woodmont played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Mauldin, falling 49-13. The Wildcats were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.

Woodmont's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Hillcrest, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Hillcrest against Woodmont in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-17 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Wildcats' Ezekiel Belcher, who rushed for 147 yards and one TD while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, and also picked up 97 receiving yards and one touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Rams to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
