Softball Game Preview: Oakridge Eagles vs. Grant Tigers

The Oakridge Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Grant Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Oakridge's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Grant's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Oakridge will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one run on Friday, then bounced right back against Sparta on Friday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 15-9 win. Considering the Eagles have won ten matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Grant suffered their biggest loss since May 3rd last Monday. They came up short against North Muskegon, falling 13-3.

Grant saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilliana DeLosSantos, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Oakridge has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-8.
