Softball Recap: Zeigler-Royalton Comes Up Short

Zeigler-Royalton fell victim to Waltonville and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Spartans. The Tornadoes just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Zeigler-Royalton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Waltonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Zeigler-Royalton and Waltonville will both be playing St. Bede the next time they take the field. The Spartans will host the Bruins at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Tornadoes will host them at 4:29 p.m. on Thursday.
