Recap: Morse Tigers vs. Montgomery Aztecs
In what's become a running theme this season, Morse gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Montgomery Aztecs as the Morse Tigers made off with an 18-3 win. The victory was just what Morse needed coming off of an 18-4 defeat in their prior matchup.
Melody Wheatley was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with six RBI, four runs, and a triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Davina Pauu, who went 4-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and a stolen base.
Morse's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Montgomery, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morse will face off against Santa Fe Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Montgomery, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mount Miguel at 3:30 p.m. on April 4th.
