Basketball Game Preview: Roeper Roughriders vs. Oakland Christian Lancers

Roeper is 1-6 against Oakland Christian since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Roeper Roughriders will challenge the Oakland Christian Lancers at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Roeper lost 54-30 to Lutheran Northwest on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Roughriders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 539th, while the Crusaders are ranked 136th).

Meanwhile, Oakland Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 33-25 to Inter-City Baptist.

This is the second loss in a row for Roeper and nudges their season record down to 4-12. As for Oakland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Roeper was taken down by Oakland Christian 54-20 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Roeper avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
