Softball Recap: Worth County Rams vs. Baconton Charter Blazers        
        
		
             Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better  (just ask Worth County). Everything went their way against the Baconton Charter Blazers on Monday as the Worth County Rams made off with  a  19-8 win. With that  victory, the Rams brought their scoring average up to 6.4  runs per game.
  Millie Kate Wilson was  incredible,  scoring four  runs while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances.  Ansley Bartley was another key player,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her five plate appearances.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Worth County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .565. The last time their  OBP was this high was  back in September of 2023.
 Worth County's win  ended  a  four-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 8-8. As for Baconton Charter, their loss  ended  a  13-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 6-8.
 Worth County will host Jeff Davis  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Jeff Davis will roll in looking for their  tenth straight  victory, something Worth County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Baconton Charter, they will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Cairo  at 5:00  p.m.
