Volleyball Recap: Oswego East Finds Home Court Redemption Against Marmion

There's no place like home for Oswego East, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Marmion Cadets 2-1. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Cadets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Oswego East had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 25-17, 25-19.

Among those leading the charge was Nathan Thach, who had 15 digs and three assists. That's the most assists he has posted since back in May of 2024. Xander Horst also deserves some recognition as he had his first blocks of the season.

Oswego East's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Marmion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Coming up, Oswego East will be taking part in a tournament against Joliet Central at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday. Marmion has already played their next match (against Yorkville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
