Basketball Recap: Everton Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Mason Morris and Joshua Daniels

Everton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 70-49 to the Humansville Tigers. Everton lost against Humansville in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 67-15 score last time.

Everton's loss came despite strong showings from Joshua Daniels and Mason Morris. Daniels dropped a double-double on 26 points and 20 boards, while Morris almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. That was a full 53.1% of Everton's points, marking the 15th time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Garrett Tindle, who earned six points.

Everton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Humansville, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Everton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Chadwick at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Humansville has already played their next game (against Fair Play), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
