Basketball Recap: Bolton Takes a Loss

Bolton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They had to suffer through an 83-21 loss at the hands of the Dyersburg Trojans. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dyersburg was led to victory by Joya Crawford and Chelby Jordan. Crawford went 6-for-9 en route to 16 points and five steals, while Jordan almost dropped a double-double with 16 points and nine boards. The contest was Crawford's fourth in a row with at least 16 points. Kaykay Strayhorn was another key player, putting up ten points and five steals.

Bolton's loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Dyersburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-4 record this season.

Bolton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Dyersburg, they will take on Crockett County in a tournament on Monday. Dyersburg is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.8 points per game this season.
