Softball Recap: Thunderbird Adventist Academy Gets the Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Thunderbird Adventist Academy). They came out on top against the Sequoia Charter Stallions by a score of 8-5 on Monday. Thunderbird Adventist Academy hasn't had any issues with Sequoia Charter recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Thunderbird Adventist Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Sequoia Charter, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thunderbird Adventist Academy will venture away from home to challenge Tohono O'Odham at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tohono O'Odham has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 24 runs per game on average), something Thunderbird Adventist Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sequoia Charter, they will head out to face off against Gila Bend at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sequoia Charter will need to watch out since Gila Bend has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
