Volleyball Preview: Westfield Shamrocks vs. Hamilton Southeastern Royals        
        
		
             Westfield hasn't had much luck against Hamilton Southeastern recently, but that could start to change  on Wednesday. The Westfield Shamrocks are taking a road trip to  take on the Hamilton Southeastern Royals  at 9:30  p.m. Westfield is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
 On Monday, Westfield sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  a  3-2  victory over Carmel.
 Westfield took Carmel into a fifth set  where they got it done with a six-point win. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-16, 18-25, 22-25,  15-9.
  Emily Blevins was a one-man wrecking crew for Westfield as she  had 18  digs and two  aces. Blevins is also on a roll when it comes to  assists, as she's  now  posted eight or more in the last nine games she's  played.  Brooke Neale was another key player,  getting 17  digs.
 Meanwhile, Hamilton Southeastern entered their tilt with Cathedral on Saturday with eight consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with nine. They were the clear victor by  a  3-0 margin over the Fighting Irish.
 After all that action, the final score was 25-14, 25-22,  25-15.
 Hamilton Southeastern got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Kaylyn Christy out in front who  had 14  digs. The team also got some help courtesy of  Maye McConnell, who  had nine  digs and two  aces.
 Westfield is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season. As for Hamilton Southeastern, their record now sits at 13-1.
 Westfield suffered a grim  3-0 defeat to Hamilton Southeastern  when the teams last played  back in September of 2023. Can Westfield avenge their  loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
