Basketball Recap: Hanover Skates Past Diller-Odell with Ease

There's no place like home for Hanover, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They claimed a resounding 73-41 win over the Diller-Odell Griffin. The Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Diller-Odell lost on Tuesday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jacob Behrends, who posted seven points. Those seven points gave Behrends a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Humphreys, who scored six points.

Hanover is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.4 points per game. As for Diller-Odell, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Hanover Wildcats take on the Centralia Panthers at 7:10 p.m. on Friday. Hanover knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Centralia likes a good challenge. As for Diller-Odell, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Superior at 7:30 p.m. Diller-Odell is facing Superior at the right time seeing as Superior is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
