Baseball Game Preview: North Stars vs. East Bakersfield Blades

The North Stars will take on the East Bakersfield Blades in a tournament on Friday. North is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.

North will bounce into Friday's contest after beating East Bakersfield, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. North came out on top against East Bakersfield by a score of 6-2 on Thursday. The game was the first time the Stars have beaten the Blades on their field since March 28, 2023.

The team relied heavily on BRANDAN THOMASSON, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of CHAYDEN BENNITT, who scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.6 runs over those games. East Bakersfield is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
