Football Recap: Gordo Falls Short of Piedmont in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Gordo can now relate to. They took a 28-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Piedmont Bulldogs on Friday. Despite 70 more yards than the Bulldogs, the Green Wave couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.

Despite the loss, Gordo still got an impressive performance from Ryder Robertson, who rushed for 184 yards and a pair of scores.

Cole Austin continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Piedmont, rushing for 95 yards and three touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Austin has posted since back in August.

Gordo moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. As for Piedmont, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Gordo does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Piedmont, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-16 defeat against Mars Hill Bible on the 28th.
