For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Evergreen Valley. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Lincoln Lions duke it out with Evergreen Valley Cougars at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.

Lincoln lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Evergreen Valley, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's match. Lincoln blew past Evergreen Valley 8-1 on Tuesday. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Andres Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on one hit. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Jonas Gamez was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Ryan Bernwanger, who scored two runs and stole a base.

Lincoln hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Evergreen Valley, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 4-5.
