Football Recap: Bayou Academy Colts vs. Leake Academy Rebels
Bayou Academy was the 40-20 winner over Leake Academy when they last played one another back in September of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Bayou Academy Colts were outmatched by the Leake Academy Rebels at home and fell 49-14. The Colts have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Although Bayou Academy took the loss, they still got scores from Nathan Jenkins and Parker George.
Leake Academy found their leader in underclassman Garrett Adcock, who rushed for 173 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries. Adcock really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of George Wilcox, who threw for 118 yards and three touchdowns.
Bayou Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Leake Academy, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Bayou Academy will head out on the road to take on Starkville Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leake Academy, they will square off against Union at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
