Baseball Recap: NSU University Snags 15th Win in Last 16 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only NSU University walked away with it. They skirted past the Florida Christian Patriots 4-2. That's two games straight that the Sharks have won by exactly two runs.

NSU University got a great performance from Matthew Greenberg as he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Greenberg has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Potter, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run.

NSU University has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Florida Christian, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 15-11.

Coming up, NSU University will take on Chaminade-Madonna at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sharks 2.2, the Lions 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Florida Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
