Basketball Recap: Esaias Caves Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Christ the King

Bradford Prep hadn't done well against Christ the King recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bradford Prep Bears strolled past the Christ the King Crusaders with points to spare, taking the game 56-42. This was a revenge game for the Bears: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in January, they had to take a 73-68 loss.

Bradford Prep's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Esaias Caves, who went 7 for 10 en route to 16 points and six assists. Another player making a difference was Kaden Bradley, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points and five boards.

Bradford Prep's win bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Christ the King, they dropped their record down to 7-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bradford Prep will take on Community School of Davidson at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Bradford Prep knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Community School of Davidson likes a good challenge. As for Christ the King, they will challenge Corvian Community at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Corvian Community's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matches.
