Soccer Game Preview: Inglewood vs. Culver City

The Inglewood Sentinels are taking a road trip to take on the Culver City Centaurs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Inglewood took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Hawthorne a 4-0 shutout. The score was close at the half, but the Sentinels pulled away in the second half with three goals.

Meanwhile, Culver City got the win against Lawndale on Wednesday by a conclusive 3-0. The result was nothing new for the Centaurs, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

With the victory, Inglewood broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-4. As for Culver City, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Inglewood might still be hurting after the 4-1 defeat they got from Culver City in their previous meeting back in December of 2015. Can Inglewood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
