Baseball Recap: Classical Purple vs. Mt. Pleasant Kilties
Classical took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Mt. Pleasant, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Purple had just enough and edged out the Kilties 13-12. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.
Silas McKay was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with four stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. What's more, he posted three hits, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Westberg-Rubin, who got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Classical's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-10. As for Mt. Pleasant, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-5.
