Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jaxson Ruebhausen and Nathan Layton Lead Pleasant Ridge to Victory

Pleasant Ridge won the last time they faced McLouth and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Rams skirted past the Bulldogs 43-41.

Leading Pleasant Ridge to victory were Nathan Layton and Jaxson Ruebhausen. Layton posted 15 points and seven boards, while Ruebhausen shot 45% from the field to rack up 11 points and four steals. Those 11 points gave Ruebhausen a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dawson Hockett, who put up six points and five rebounds.

Pleasant Ridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for McLouth, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Coming up, Pleasant Ridge will head out to take on Hiawatha at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McLouth, they will be playing at home against Jefferson West on Friday.
