Zane Trace lost to Westfall back in May of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Pioneers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-3 victory. Considering the Pioneers have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The win made it two in a row for Zane Trace and bumps their season record up to 10-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Westfall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-3 record this season.

Zane Trace and Westfall should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Pioneers (ranked 196th) will meet Piketon (ranked 526th) at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Westfall will take on Adena at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (177 vs. 549).
