Volleyball Game Preview: Centennial Apaches vs. Leuzinger Olympians

Centennial is 0-6 against Leuzinger since March of 2022 but things could change on Wednesday. The Apaches will look to defend their home court against the Olympians at 3:15 p.m.

Centennial is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their tenth straight game last Tuesday. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Inglewood. While the Apaches didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Sentinels 25-21 in the first set.

Centennial actually scored more points across those five sets (112-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-22, 11-25, 27-25, 17-15.

Meanwhile, Leuzinger was able to grind out a solid win over Hawthorne on Monday, taking the game 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Olympians.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Leuzinger, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4-1.

Centennial might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Leuzinger when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Apaches avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
