Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brianna Ortiz and Adelyne Yang Lead Dacula to Victory

Dacula came into Monday's contest having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mountain View Bears on Monday. Surprisingly, this marked the Falcons' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Dacula's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mountain View to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-10.

Leading Dacula to victory were Adelyne Yang and Brianna Ortiz. Yang had six aces and four digs, while Ortiz had four digs and four aces. What's more, Yang posted three assists, the most she's had over her last six matchups. Leeann Pearson also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Dacula was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. They are a perfect 10-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Dacula's win bumped their record up to 15-19. As for Mountain View, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-27.

Coming up, Dacula will face off against Buford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mountain View does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
