Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Prep Comes Up Short

Pinecrest Prep and Somerset Academy South Homestead squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Pinecrest Prep had to settle for second. They came up short against the Hurricanes, falling 3-0. The Crocs have struggled against the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Pinecrest Prep took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-17, 25-19.

Pinecrest Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season.

Pinecrest Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they will face off against Immaculata-La Salle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royal Lions will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hurricanes surely won't give up without a fight.
