Football Recap: Macon Comes Up Short

Macon lost against Hallsville back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Tigers took a 19-14 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Indians.

It was another big night for Landon Cunningham, who rushed for 157 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 144 yards on 14 of 32 attempts for Hallsville.

Macon's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Hallsville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Macon wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 50-13 defeat against Centralia on the 26th. As for Hallsville, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 43-33 win against Eldon on the 26th.
