La Porte has gone  a perfect 10-0 against Mishawaka recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Slicers will square off against the Cavemen at 12:30  p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
La Porte is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup  on Thursday. They were the clear victors by  a  3-0 margin over South Bend Riley. The Slicers haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  win against them.

La Porte's success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Shayla Sorg, who  had 11  digs and two  aces, and   Evelyn Shirk, who  hit 75% for six  kills and five  digs, three  aces,  and one  block. The last time  Shirk's  hitting percentage was this high was  over her last seven  matches.
 They weren't the only good servers: La Porte  was lethal from the service line and  finished the match with 12  aces. They are  a perfect 7-0 when  they serve at least ten aces.
Meanwhile, Mishawaka made easy work of Jimtown  last Thursday and carried off  a  3-0 victory.
 Mishawaka was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-17,  25-8.
 Mishawaka's win came from a few key players La Porte will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Andie Shieldsa1, who  had 11  digs and two  aces. The team also got some help courtesy of  Kallahan Steinman, who  had four  digs and two  aces.
 La Porte's record now sits at 17-15. As for Mishawaka, their record is now 24-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Saturday's  contest:  La Porte hasn't let much over the net this season,  having  averaged 7.1  blocks per game. It's a different story for Mishawaka, though, as  they've been averaging  only 0.8  blocks. Given La Porte's sizable advantage in that area, the Cavemen will need to find a way to close that gap.
 La Porte took their  win against Mishawaka  in their previous meeting  back in October of 2023 by a conclusive  3-0 score. Will the Slicers repeat their success,  or do  the Cavemen have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
