Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of ASHTON SAVOIE and MONTE FARMER Lead Washington-Marion to Victory

On Monday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, the Washington-Marion Charging Indians beat the Oakdale Warriors 63-57. Given the Charging Indians' advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Warriors are ranked 188th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Washington-Marion to victory were MONTE FARMER and ASHTON SAVOIE. FARMER posted 20 points, while SAVOIE earned 20 points. The team also got some help courtesy of KHALI CELESTINE, who put up nine points.

Washington-Marion's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Oakdale, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7.
