Volleyball Recap: Knightstown Beats Rushville for Their Third Straight Victory

It was a proper cat-fight when Knightstown challenged Rushville on Tuesday. The Panthers walked away with a 3-1 win over the Lions. The victory was familiar territory for the Panthers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Knightstown had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-16, 25-21, 25-22.

Lanee Swindell paced Knightstown's offense, picking up 18 kills. Swindell got some help from Jaycie Cole and her 28 assists. Cole also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ary Guzman, each putting up three.

The win got Knightstown back to even at 6-6. As for Rushville, they now have a losing record of 7-8.

Knightstown didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Shenandoah on the 18th. As for Rushville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Lawrenceburg on the 25th.
