Basketball Recap: Altamont Falls Short of Midfield in the Playoffs

Altamont and Midfield squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Altamont had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Midfield Patriots and fell 84-32. The Knights have struggled against the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midfield to victory, but perhaps none more so than Malachi Robinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Robinson is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Aaron Adams-Martin was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 18 points.

Altamont's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Midfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Altamont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Midfield has already played their next contest (against Childersburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
