Softball Game Preview: North Grand Eagle Owls vs. Westinghouse Warriors

For the second straight game, North Grand will face off against Westinghouse. The Eagle Owls will square off against the Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. North Grand has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with three straight defeats, while Westinghouse will come in with seven straight wins.

Westinghouse hit North Grand with a nine-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Eagle Owls fell 15-11 to the Warriors.

For Westinghouse's part, the team relied heavily on Emily Coleman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Coleman is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in five or more in each of the last four games she's played. Jocelyn Lewis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs.

Westinghouse's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for North Grand, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
