Basketball Game Preview: Hapeville Charter Hornets vs. Carver Panthers

The Hapeville Charter Hornets will square off against the Carver Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Hapeville Charter is headed into Friday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They were outmatched by KIPP Atlanta Collegiate and fell 75-43. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-17.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 83-35, which was the final score in Carver's tilt against Holy Innocents Episcopal on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 485th, while the Golden Bears are ranked seventh).

Carver's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Hapeville Charter, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
