Basketball Game Preview: Monticello Panthers vs. Minisink Valley Warriors

The Monticello Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Minisink Valley Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Monticello and 12 for Minisink Valley dating back to last season.

Last Wednesday, Monticello came up short against Sullivan West and fell 46-39.

Meanwhile, Minisink Valley also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Monroe-Woodbury by a score of 54-47.

Monticello's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Minisink Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 0-10.

Monticello was able to grind out a solid win over Minisink Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 56-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Monticello since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
