Cornerstone Christian strolled into their game  on Thursday with a perfect  record and they left with the same. They breezed past the United Christian Academy Eagles to the tune of  88-6. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Crusaders' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked first, while the Eagles are ranked 65th).
Leading Cornerstone Christian to victory were  Dylan Kelly and  Matthew Huffman.  Kelly rushed for 157 yards and three  touchdowns on only seven carries, while  Huffman gained 263 total yards and three touchdowns. What's more,  Kelly racked up 226  passing yards, the most he's  had since back in November of 2024.  David Miller made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Cornerstone Christian was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 393  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 239  rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.
 Cornerstone Christian didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over. Miller led the group effort, picking up three of those  interceptions all by himself. Kelly is also crushing it when it comes to  rushing yards: he's   rushed for at least 101 every time he's  taken the field this season. Miller got in on the action too, converting a pick  into a touchdown.
Cornerstone Christian's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for United Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Cornerstone Christian is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Entrepreneur  at 3:30  p.m.  on Friday. Meanwhile, United Christian Academy will  face off against  rival Public Safety Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 24th.
