Murrieta Valley wouldn't go down easily and took Temecula Valley into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-12, 18-16.
Great Oak's defeat dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Murrieta Valley, they pushed their record up to 20-6 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
