Weston hadn't done well against Captain Shreve recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Weston came out on top against Captain Shreve by a score of 7-3. For the Wolves, this counts as revenge for the 20-4 victory the Gators walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The win made it two in a row for Weston and bumps their season record up to 5-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Captain Shreve, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-9.

Weston will have a chance to go back-to-back against Captain Shreve: the pair will be back at it again later today.
