Baseball Recap: Hershey Find Success

Hershey owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Carlisle Thundering Herd by a score of 5-0. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Thundering Herd: they've now won seven in a row.

The result came thanks to Clark Green's shutout, as he gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hershey saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sean Callahan, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Hershey's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Carlisle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hershey will welcome Bishop McDevitt at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Carlisle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Dauphin East at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Thundering Herd are facing the Panthers at the right time seeing as the Panthers are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
