Recap: Genesis Prep Panthers vs. Web of Wisdom Wizards
The Genesis Prep Panthers were the 33-26 winner over the Web of Wisdom Wizards when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Genesis Prep took a 40-33 hit to the loss column at the hands of Web of Wisdom on Friday. Genesis Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Web of Wisdom's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taylor Smith led the charge by scoring 14 points. Another player making a difference was G'Khai Harvey, who scored 11 points.
Genesis Prep's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-3. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.3 points per game. As for Web of Wisdom, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Genesis Prep will stay at home for another game and welcome Solid Rock Community at 5:30 p.m. on January 16th. Solid Rock Community is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Web of Wisdom will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Classical Christian School for the Arts at 7:15 p.m. on January 16th.
