After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Wake Christian Academy, Cary Christian was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill Lion. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Lion: they've now won six in a row.

Cary Christian never let Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 27-25, 25-15.

Cary Christian found their leader in sophomore Giovanna Kerlus, who had nine digs and two aces. Selah Herdean also deserves some recognition as she served her first aces of the season.

Cary Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last five matches.

The win got Cary Christian back to even at 5-5. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.

Looking ahead, Cary Christian will venture away from home to face off against GRACE Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trinity of Durham and Chapel Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Thales Academy Apex on the 12th.
