Basketball Game Preview: Snyder Cyclones vs. Cordell Blue Devils

The Snyder Cyclones will venture away from home to take on the Cordell Blue Devils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Snyder came up short against Sayre on Tuesday, falling 48-24.

Meanwhile, Cordell suffered their biggest loss since December 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They were dealt a 59-29 defeat at the hands of Navajo. The Blue Devils haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Cordell's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Snyder, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.

Snyder was able to grind out a solid win over Cordell in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 47-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Snyder since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
