With a playoff win on the line, Andrew rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Shepard Astros get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Thunderbolts, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Andrew is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.9 runs on average over those games. As for Shepard, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-17-2.

Coming up, Andrew will square off against Lincoln-Way Central at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Thunderbolts 3.5, the Knights 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Shepard does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
