Soccer Recap: McLane Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact McLane can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Clovis North Broncos on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Highlanders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 66th, while the Broncos are ranked fifth).

McLane's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Clovis North, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-1 record this season.

McLane does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Clovis North, they will challenge Buchanan at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis North is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.8 goals per game this season.
