Softball Recap: Solon Takes a Loss

Solon came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-5 to the Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in March.

Grace Gerhard made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that she has hit this season.

Solon's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Stow-Munroe Falls, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Solon will square off against rival North Royalton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Stow-Munroe Falls is set to challenge their familiar foe Brecksville-Broadview Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
